Torch is an acrylic painting in bold colors that has a companion poem...
The Torch
Our legacy a torch
Passed on to you
All we hold sacred
Love of country
Justice, equality
Family, faith, freedom
The arc of justice will one day
Bend your way
Threatened by greed
Need for power
Through the darkness
Your light will shine brighter still
The voice of truth will have its say
The arc of Justice will one day
To hold sacred the trust of
A bountiful planet
Lush, green forests
Animals, birds, butterflies
Indigenous tribes
Ocean filled wonders
Whales, coral reefs
Arctic laced Northern Lights
Penguins and polar bears
We grateful guardians of
Your legacy a torch
Given to treasure
Sacred Mother Earth
Faith, freedom, family
Bend our way
